When you add these arms the design gives your machine approximately 1.25 inches of additional ground clearance to help you get over any debris that may be present out on the trails. With the rearward rake of 1.5 inches, your rear hubs will be moved back 1.5 inches, meaning you fit larger tires on to help add to your ground clearance.
